Cleveland Metroparks:

I am the Marketing Seasonal at Cleveland Metroparks. As the Marketing seasonal my day-to-day is copywriting, generating weekly press releases, working on special projects and media kits.

I was also project manager of Kids Club, a first year program meant to connect kids with nature through recreational and education programming and activities hosted through various nature centers in the Park District. My day-to-day for that project included managing the Kids Club website and eNewsletters, sending out welcome packets, working with nature centers, vendors and sponsors and selecting monthly programming.

I was also in charge of the End-of-the-Year Party as a special prize for the children who completed their passports and I was in charge of the evaluation and survey.

I really got my hands dirty working on Kids Club and I’m so proud of how well it did. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive and the feature that ran in the Friday Magazine of The Plain Dealer gave it good exposure.

Cleveland Playhouse:

I was the Engagement Intern at Cleveland Playhouse for the summer of 2011. While I was there I worked on special projects that included College Night @ CPH, nightOUT!Gen. NOW and the Cleveland Playhouse Reading Club.

During these projects I developed event planning skills by implementing the Show+ young professionals nights with the Cleveland Play House. This is the first time Cleveland Playhouse reinvented their YP networking programs.

For the Show+ program debut, I did a lot of research and compiling. I created lists of potential partners and places the networking events could meet. I also researched places Cleveland Playhouse could target to market the Show+ programs.

During my internship I implemented the social media components of the Show+ programs.

I put together and mailed packages to local businesses and subscribers. I also have experience with QR codes through Cleveland Playhouse’s nightOUT! program.

I also worked on marketing and promotions for the season opener Galileo.
